Sonoma County EAC is a partnership between the California Employment Development Department (EDD) and the business community. The membership represents a cross section of business and industry. The EAC commitment is to assist employers in conducting their business more effectively and efficiently, provide information on employment related issues, enhance communication between EDD and the private sector, and identify ways to improve EDD services.
Sonoma County is a member of the California Employer Advisory Council (CEAC), which is a nonprofit, statewide umbrella organization for over 50 Employer Advisory Councils throughout the state. The CEAC provides links between employers, EACs, the Employment Development Department and the U.S. Department of Labor. While Sonoma County EAC works with the business community at a local level, the CEAC represents all California EACs at the state level. It tackles state and federal employment issues, communicates with legislative representatives and gains grass root support on legislation.
Membership dues are $60.00 a year per company. This entitles any employees to attend seminars and events at a reduced fee. Sonoma County EAC offers bi-monthly breakfast meetings and a yearly half-day Labor Law Seminar in October.
Membership Benefits
Note: Funds collected exceeding the seminar cost will support future seminars or community employment and training opportunities.
