Welcome To The Greater Harbor Employer Advisory Council Website
The Greater Harbor Area Cities:
Artesia, Avalon, Bellflower, Carson, Cerrritos, Compton, Downey, Gardena, Harbor City, Hawaiian Gardens, Hermosa Beach, Lakewood, La Mirada, Lawndale, Lomita, Long Beach, Lynwood, Manhattan Beach, Palos Verdes, Signal Hill, Torrance, Pedro.
The Greater Harbor EAC is composed of employer volunteers representing a cross section of business and industry. We partner with EDD to increase cooperation and communication between EDD and the private sector, and identify ways to improve EDD services. Its commitment is to assist employers in conducting their business more effectively and efficiently, to provide information on employment related issues.
What Does LBEAC Offer?
The Greater Harbor EAC also assists employers in their efforts to give back to their communities by advocating local workforce development efforts, supporting veterans' stand downs and a variety of employment and educationally focused not-for-profits, and by providing scholarships to local area youth. Its commitment is to assist employers in conducting their business more effectively and efficiently, to provide information on employment related issues.
We provide employers with education and information on topics such as labor law, unemployment/disability insurance, employment trends, general business practices, and much, much more. By becoming involved you will have access to:
