The San Luis Obispo EAC is composed of employer volunteers representing a cross section of business and industry. The EAC was developed to promote a stronger partnership between the California EDD and the business community. Its commitment is to assist employers in conducting their business more effectively and efficiently, to provide information on employment-related issues, and to enhance the communication between EDD and the private sector.

Confused about the complexities of Workers' Compensation? You're not alone. Even skilled Human Resource practitioners have a hard time interpreting grey areas, keeping up with changing regulatory issues, and managing their claims.
The three-member panel will discuss strategies, fraud prevention, and present insider tips and tools to help you manage your entire workers' compensation program more effectively.
Ben Rodriguez will address Workers' Compensation fraud, laws pertaining to workers' compensation fraud, typical fraud schemes, abuse versus fraud, and employer and employee responsibilities.
Mary Jean Collins will discuss how a claims analyst can help you lower your experience mod, what modified duty really means, and common sense preventative measures every employer should take to maintain a safe and healthy work site.
Darlene Ball will address the legal issues employers face in addressing various workers' compensation situations.
