About Us
The goal of the Greater Stockton Employer Advisory Council (GSEAC) is to promote a stronger partnership between the Employment Development Department (EDD) and the business community of San Joaquin County. GSEAC members are a cross section of local employer volunteers who join with EDD staff to assist the employer community to do business more effectively and to promote communication.
Our focus as a community-based organization is to the employer community, with emphasis placed on issues important to Human Resource departments and to business owners and their employees who make up our diverse community.
The GSEAC is an award winning organization, honored in the 2008 and 2001 as the Outstanding Employer Advisory Council in the State of California! Past Chairperson, Pam Ulyshen was selected as the Outstanding EAC Chairperson of the Year for 2009. Past Chairperson Vicki Ulm, was selected as the Outstanding EAC Chairperson of the Year for 2002.
The GSEAC is the 2008 EAC of the year
Employer Health Care Reporting, Notification: Prepare Now
Beginning in 2011, all U.S. health insurance plans must start to comply with new disclosure requirements, subject to forthcoming regulations from federal agencies. Much remains to be determined about these disclosures, but a few points are highlighted in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act itself, including requirements that large employers must report. Annual toy and personal item drive to benefit the Stockton Homeless Shelter
http://www.stocktonshelter.com/
This year we are accepting cash and check donations. Checks should be made payable to the Stockton Homeless Shelter, but sent to the GSEAC mailing address or, preferably, brought to our meeting. At the September seminar, the GSEAC board is matching all monetary donations given on behalf of the shelter.
