Establishing and maintaining policies in an employee handbook or personnel policy manual consistent with current legislation and case law is an employer’s best defense when negotiating employment issues. Recent changes in legislation and case law have impacted a wide range of employment policies and practices. As a result, employers must significantly change the way they manage employment relationships. This seminar offers a "How-To" approach in analyzing your company’s policy needs. At the end of the workshop, participants will have tools to develop a new employee handbook or check an existing handbook against new law and legislation.

• The "At-Will" Relationship.
• Employer's Most Common Pitfalls.
• Essential Personnel Policies.
• Employee Benefit Descriptions and Disclaimers.
