Know your obligations and rights under the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) and Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This training will provide you with the essential FEHA/ADA 101 primer followed by a discussion of real life reasonable accommodation file reviews to help put it all together.
The presentation will cover:
• What is the Fair Employment and Housing Act and Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act?
• What is a good-faith interactive process and how do I do it?
• What are reasonable accommodations and how do I support my company in making sound and defensible accommodation decisions?
• Four steps to compliance, every time!
• How to identify essential functions of your positions to aid in making accommodation decisions.
• What do you do when it is determined that accommodation is not reasonable.
• Real life stories from the front lines including ways to handle complex issues involving multiple doctors, psychological claims, overlapping discipline issues, etc.
