Not surprisingly, employee leave questions are among the most common we hear. Numerous federal and state laws, not to mention sometimes ambiguous company policies, can create a landmine of possible legal violations.
We will address many of the most common and difficult questions we hear from small and large employers regarding the complex issue of employee absences and leaves. We will provide you with information that you can use immediately to help your business comply with the law and tips to help prevent litigation and to limit legal exposure to your business if a lawsuit is filed.
Ms. Inman and Ms. Protas are both associates in HFJ&A’s Employment Group, with their practice focusing on Labor and Employment law. Ms. Inman has a B.A. from U.C. Berkeley and J.D. from the University of Oregon, School of Law. She previously worked as a federal investigator for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Washington, D.C, and is currently a member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association. Ms. Protas received her B.A. from the University of Arizona and her J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
