Details: Mr. Jason Geller of Long & Levit LLP will present on the key leave laws in California and provide strategies for resolving leave issues to avoid pitfalls and litigation. Mr. Geller will provide an overview of the leave laws in California applicable to most employers. He will emphasize key areas in which these laws overlap and provide suggestions for minimizing the risk of employment claims arising under these laws.
Matt Graffigna of Seyfarth Shaw LLP will present on worker's compensation will focus on key areas including:
When does an employer need to obtain workers' compensation coverage?
Which employees need to be covered by the plan?
