Demystifying Worker’s Compensation

Speaker: Dennis Moranz, Mike Suess, and James Kilpartick

Details: Dennis Moranz is an Assistant Claims Manager with State Compensation Insurance Fund. Dennis has been working in Claims for the past 20 years. During this time Dennis has adjuster claims for various State of California Agencies as well as claims for private policy holders. Dennis was involved in the organization and structure of the "First Call" unit in San Jose as well as the new Electronic Claims program being implemented at State Fund. Mike Suess has been working for many years with California employers to enhance safety programs and reduce losses. He works on a variety of projects from consultations and surveys, to safety trainings and inspections. Dennis will speak about new developments in workers compensation and what employers need to know when reporting a claim, and Mike will be discussing the Injury and Illness Prevention Program requirements for California employers. James will cover loss control and fraud investigation.
