Jonathan Fraser Light is a founding attorney at LightGabler LLP. Jon is a 1981 graduate of the UCLA School of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review. He graduated magna cum laude in history from UCLA in 1978, and is a 1986 graduate of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. With 30 years of experience and currently serving more than 300 national, regional and local employers in the private and public sector, and with the highest "AV" rating from Martindale-Hubbell, Jon advises clients on day-to-day and incident-related employment issues. He also has tried several successful jury trials on behalf of employers and represented employers in proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, DFEH, EEOC, Labor Commission, and in many private and union arbitrations. He has also successfully mediated over 100 cases on behalf of employers.
Beyond frequently lecturing to business groups and civic organizations on employment issues, Jon serves the community where he lives and works as a current or former board member of the Ventura County Bar Association (Past President), Ventura County Taxpayers Association, the Ventura County Boy Scout Council (Past President), the Channel Islands Ballet (Past Chair), Footworks Youth Ballet, and the Ventura County Medical Resource Foundation (Past Chair).
