Details:
Specializing in workplace drug and alcohol testing and education programs beginning in 1991 with the Gold Coast Medical Group in Oxnard. Currently working with the Santa Rosa Walk-In Medical Center in Camarillo. Her program includes drafting Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace Policies for companies regulated by Department of Transportation as well as employers in the private sector. She also conducts Drug and Alcohol Education classes for company employees subject to testing programs as well as supervisory training for employees designated by employers to aid in detecting the use or possession of drugs or alcohol in the workplace for purposes of reasonable suspicious testing. Topics covered in this presentation:

• Effects of drugs and alcohol in the workplace
• Importance of having a company policy for a drug and alcohol free workplace
• Employee notification of company’s policy and consequences of policy violations
• Supervisor’s training in the detection of drug and alcohol use or possession in the workplace and documentation of reasonable suspension
• Drug and alcohol testing methodology
• Medical review of all positive test results necessary to legally enforce disciplinary actions up to and including termination
• Referring employees to qualified substance professionals
