Details:
The current recession is deemed to be the most severe since World War II with unemployment in Silicon Valley currently at a 60 year high. Since the onset of the recession, companies across the globe have been forced to conserve cash and many have done so by cutting salaries, conducting layoffs, abolishing 401K matching, and implementing furloughs. But, as reports begin to surface that an uptick in the economy is imminent, how will companies switch from cost-cutting to reinstating some of their takeaways? What must companies do now and what leverage do they have to engage, motivate, and reward performance?
Topics:
• Latest compensation trends covering hiring,
turnover, base salary budgets, merit increases,
and cash incentives
• Assessment of the current environment and
strategies for attracting and retaining top talent
• Discussion on how companies can restore what
they have lost (salaries, benefits, etc.)
• A look at compensation philosophy and
discussion on how it will be key to the rebuilding
process
• Retention and engagement alternatives/strategies
for 2010
