If you're like most employers, you ask yourself, "How can I get the results I need and treat people well so they will stick around?" This program offers some practical, easy-to-implement tools to help you. You'll learn 7 helpful tips about how to motivate performance (and why "happiness" is not on the list!), you'll walk away with at least 20 actions to positively motivate performance, and you will learn how to create a useful, results-focused development plan. Good performance and retention do not happen by wishing and hoping - effective managers put structures in place to create success.

Ms. Silver is a management consultant and trainer with over 15 years of experience in human resource work and effective corporate training. Her expertise covers the following areas: interview and candidate selection, leadership development, effective communication, making presentations, and customer service. Ms. Silver has a bachelor's degree in Child Development from San Jose State University and a certificate in Human Resource Management from University of California, Santa Cruz.
