Details:
Mr. Adreani will discuss the nuts and bolts of how to keep your workers compensation premiums to a minimum, how to control claims and minimize the impacts of claims on your premiums. He will cover cost containment from an employers’ perspective, including:

• How to negotiate with your carrier regarding premiums.
• How to minimize the financial impact of claims on your business, including addressing experience modification ratings.
• How to contest the handling of claims with your carrier.
• Alternative risk programs (self-insurance), the collateral requirements for these programs and how to monitor the program.

Mr. Adreani is a partner at Roxborough, Pomerance, Nye & Adreani located in Woodland Hills, California. He represents employers, brokers, public entities, school districts, trade organizations, reinsurers, sureties and individuals in a wide variety of insurance related matters with an emphasis on risk management, coverage, and workers' compensation cost containment. He has been a Chairperson of the Southern California Employment Law and Human Resources Forum for each of the past two years.

Mr. Adreani also represents both employers and employees in prosecuting and defending against various wage and hour matters.

Prior to joining RPNA in 1997, Mr. Adreani gained valuable experience in insurance related issues while working at the California Department of Insurance, legal division, in San Francisco, and with the in-house legal team at Hannover Re-, one of the world's largest reinsurers located in Hannover, Germany.
